SMART CITIES EXPO WORLD FORUM 2017

Cities must act together across borders to deal with similar challenges
Barcelona, Spain

The City.Risks project was hosted in the stand of the City of Prato at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, on 14-16/11/2017.

The event is the meeting point for governments, companies, entrepreneurs and research centers, where cities meet other cities, showcase their projects and find new solutions, and where companies make business. It has turned out to be an exceptional networking platform to connect people working in and with cities around the world who are tackling similar challenges and generating opportunities for action.

The Smart City Expo World Congress is committed to leveraging the implementation and follow-up of all global agendas at local and national level. The event aims to be the place to collectivize urban power, to increase the strength of cities, to identify business opportunities, to establish partnerships and contribute to enacting common policies. A place to share research, best practices and potential common solutions, achieved through effective collaboration.

The 2017 edition was a great success and offered a very good opportunity for disseminating the City.Risks approach and products to a variety of participants: cities, business, research and education institutions.

The City of Prato participated for the full event with its own stand, managed by Paolo Boscolo, Francesco Pacini and Elena Palmisano. The stand hosted pc and videoprojector facilities for demos and videos, posters and roll-ups were arranged inside and a rack was available to show brochures and literature, including the City.Risks booklet and leaflet. A DVD was also available, including all the  paper content in electronic format.

The stand of the City of Prato had many visitors along the three days and collected more than 100 contacts from all over the world, most of whom were very interested in the City.Risks approach and products. The project booklet and brochure were widely appreciated, several dozens of them were distributed in paper format and in the DVD. The Deputy Mayor for Innovation and the Deputy Mayor for Cultural Heritage of the Prato City Council were also present at the stand on Wednesday 15th.
